I can also vouch for Networx - been running it on 3 laptops at home for maybe 9 months now. Was quite surprising to see how much was used doing something quite basic like reading a newspaper on line.0

That is your download speed. If you right click Totals on the tray icon you will see your usage totals including projected. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
With an .avi movie download of 700-800MB ,say 90 mins long, 40GB ~ relates to 55 x 1.5 hour movies ,over 80 hours viewing. Surely online tv uses more bandwidth by far? General internet browsing could use hundreds of MB's a day esp. with youtube.0

I've deleted Net Meter and now got NetWorx installed, it is telling me a lot more information.
I'm trying to find if there is, the part where it warns me if I'm getting close to my limit or do I just keep checking?
OK found it now.0 -

40Gb can be close to what many ISPs class as the limit of "fair usage" with their so called unlimited. So before you change supplier check what they really mean by "unlimited". In case you are not sure, connecting to this, and every, website is downloading.
Also, don't rely too much on download meter applications. Use only as a guide.0 -

I said truly unlimited. I am with Be for a few years now and I never hit any limit. And I'm a heavy user and use a couple of hundred GB a month...

I went with them because I was having trouble with TalkTalk and a family member told me he uses them, he gets other discounts with them too, it seemed alright at the time, I am thinking of changing though.0
