Ok, I've got the Blue Planet tickets for Manchester (hope the kids don't know about this site!) and I was wondering if anyone knows of any good family restaurants in Manchester?0

Here's an idea a friend just told me for the family. Apparently, around 4pm they all go to the tree and hunt for a small present on the tree which has been hung there by another member of the family.
Great idea. And for the environmentally friendly peeps, there are plenty of small presents at ecotopia, mentioned earlier in the thread.0 -
I'm currently making a this is your life family album, I've been going through all the old photos in my mum and dads house (theyre on hols) and I'm going to get them copied and put them into a big album, charting all our lives in pictures, I think it'll be good craic on xmas day everyone sitting around remembering the good times. Oh and for mum and I all the ups and downs in weight, the 80's outfits, the holidays, the births, weddings, all occasions.
I hope this will be a nice idea for others as I'm having a ball doing it, especially as I now have a 3yr old dd who keeps asking who everyone is

Thought you guys might like to know that Classic FM are giving away two pairs of tickets for the Blue Planet Live https://www.theblueplanetlive.com which is discussed earlier in this thread.
It's just a draw with no question so easy peasy... http://www.classicfm.co.uk/Article.asp?id=311920&spid=9780

Hello again all,
Getting very excited about Christmas now and thanks to everyone on here for such inspiring ideas.
Hilariously, my boy downloaded the blue planet live podcast from itunes the other day and asked his mum if she knew George Fenton as "he seems really interesting and knows all about whales". He is going to be one happy boy come Christmas day!
Anyway, I had another thought. Instead of relying on Christmas television, why not buy a DVD that the family will all love and then watch it together on Christmas Eve. Superman returns, for example.0
