Catmiaow, check that it is a council/police parking ticket that you have to pay. The motoring tab explains how private firms can't force you to pay...
My list:
* complete RM survey weekly returns
* sort out my charity shop and ebay bags - looks like mostly CS stuff
* take bags to CS
* lunch from stores
* return overdue library books
*start washing laundry mountain - will take ages to dry inside

I feel rotten so might pay a trip to Mr S later for some orange juice...not going very far this pm though would love to be down the veg garden and hating being sick when I've been sick for less than a week :eek:...I just feel so housebound and I hate it....
Anyhow eyes feel really bad and just put washing in and chest quite tight though at least I'm not throwing up and I have food for a couple of days.DV I'll be able to get to the supermarket on Monday (Day 4 of antibiotics so should be able to go out of the house)
Not going to church tomorrow which will be hard as reckon I'll still be infectious...
Just feeling tired and rotten though did get a load of books sorted out the bedroom this am for the bookshop and began putting my e-library (titles) on a spreadsheet for indexing
And I have bread to make deffo this pm which shouldn't take too long once I get my act together because I'm out...

PS. I was thinking about making an over bath airer with string and hooks cos there's no way I'm paying £13 at Mr A and think it'll be better long term to dry stuff in the bathroom.....hooks should just be screw in ones....it's plasterboard in the bathroom on concrete and then string should have....if not can get from hardware store just down the road...
What do folk reckon to the idea? The only snag I think is like the fact I have a shower but even if I have to peg stuff up if it's up high it should work right?

Hi all..sorry I haven't been online for months but am now picking up 'cos I Really need to reinstate ( well not sure it ever was but it was better earlier in the year) some control on our expenditure. We have luckily for us well paid jobs but it's the little things that seem to mount up and kick us every month. I am also increasingly obsessed with overpayments and a 6 month fall back fund as I am pretty sure that I will not be in my job for much time next year...cutbacks and uncertainty..all bad news for my line of business. Anyway onwards and upwards and will try to drop in here as often as I can as it was always the friendliest of MSE places!!
Today I have:
- made bread in the breadmaker
- about to make pizza dough for friends coming over..we are having a MSE evening with pizza and a movie
- bought pizza ingredients and no impulse buys..ignored the anchovies and the better sort of olives..so trying to drop a brand as it were..even though it was all from my lovely local Italian shop
- checked banking. In same place I was last month which is disappointing as we have tried to be really frugal over last 30 days or so but I guess Eurodisney park tickets might have had something to do with it
but on other hand it'll be a blast and we're combining birthdays, christmas and everything we can think of to make sure that we are as sensible as we possible can be with it
- put OH onto the decorating..he has a hangover poor love but I am not letting that stop him:rotfl:
- one egg from the chickens..they are just maybe earning their keep!
- heating switched off..it's on off on off all the time these days but I am not complaining about a few mild days
- HM soup from the freezer for lunch for everyone
Think that's it for now. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend..
