Sat 6th/Sun 7th November - What small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Morning all!
I guess I am the only poor soul working today and thus up early! Boo!
Anyway so here is my list:-
- Submit purge claims, won't sell any today
- Have a look at WIP
- Work 8-2pm for over time
- Check for any new bills coming in
- Stop in Homebase and buy lining paper to finish my bedroom - might paper this tomorrow
- Read my book at work due to boredom
- Ebay item ending in 9 hrs, currently on £94!
- Local fireworks tonight, take free park and ride, take two flasks of tea!
- Work out how much labour I have in my "big job" at the moment.
- Have another play with snowballer as I forgot to save it last time!

Morning everyone!
At last it's stopped raining!:j
Have already taken the dog to the park for a good run around - it was full of dogs going bonkers with the dry weather after having been cooped up for days. Funny to watch.
Today's list is a bit like this...- Checked banks - have budgeted £45 for shopping and £40 for spending money and will still be solvent (just!) by pay day - first time in as long as I can remember!
- Checked quidco - at last £45 had been received so I should get it quite soon - that will go towards the Xmas shopping
- Write a shopping list and meal plan
- Do food shopping
- Take library book back and pick up new one
- Watch rugby on telly later
- Hoover and dust house
- Clean kitchen
- Stay in tonight with a bottle of wine
- Write year 7 lessons for this week (about an hours work)
- 2 loads of washing
January grocery spending - £82.73/ £1200 -
Morning all, finally have they time to post after lurking for a while! My first Saturday off for 4 weeks, but back in for an early tomorrow, grr but got to think of the extra money at time and 2/3! So my plan today is:
1. Visit the little veg stall in the next village and purchase the veggies for the next few day- Ultra cheap and means I won't be tempted by the chocolate etc in the cooperative!
2. Do all the washing at 30 including all the bedlinen and dry on the line.
3. Sort out all ebay stuff and try and list some this weekend.
4. Bake some loaves of bread so as above I'm not tempted into the coop!
Thats all I can think of at the moment but I'm sure there is much more.......
Hope everyone has a lovely day.
