Carphone Warehouse Trade-in - Feeling Homicidal
I went to look for a new mobile today as mine is getting on a bit, and went to the carphone warehouse website to see if they do trade ins -they do. I filled out all the details, clicked continue and received a 'this operation cannot be performed' message and decided it would be easier to walk to the nearest store, trade it in and get my new phone.
On getting to the store I was told that I could not trade it in as on their systems it was showing as being barred(not network/stolen barred) just barred from trade in because i'd done it online.
I asked them to take this off so i could do it in store, they said they couldn't and I understood that as they don't have much access at the shop.
So I called customer services from the shop and they first said that i had to go to 02 !!!!!! - im with vodafone and my phone is network unlocked???? Then they said it was done through another company but they couldn't tell me which one or give me a contact number due to a !!!!ing 'confidentiality agreement'.
I then asked the guy behind the counter to call up for me - he did, got through to someone else, confirmed who he was with his CPW staff ID or something and was told no contact number or even a company name again due to a confidentiality agreement
I'm so !!!!ed off, murder seemed like a good option - not the guys in the shop they were good and friendly but the !!!!ers who run the whole thing:eek:

I don't understand this. Surely there are contact details on the web site. You use these to report a problem with the site and ask them to supply the missing information. You'll then be able to complete the on-line trade that your started.0

No, there are no contact details, carphone warehouse flatly refuse to deal with it as they use another company - they will not say which company or provide a contact number for this company due to a 'confidentiality agreement'1: Lloyds Loan: 1900/0 --- 2: Lloyds CrCa: 700/800 --- 3: Lloyds OveD: 500/0 --- 4: BoS OveD: 500/0 --- 5: Clydesdale OveD: 500/0 All overdraught facilities cancelled0 -

See if you're network do a trade in scheme, having recently sent my handset off. CEX offered me £100 but it failed the test, T Mobile qouted me upto £140 but I had already sent my handset off to CPW for £120.0
