Shall I leave negative feedback....??
Peanuts
Hello, I sold an item only to find a fortnight later that the buyer hadnt paid. I then issued a non payment reminder to assist me in getting a refund for my listing fee. The buyer responded to say sorry but she had bought it cheaper from a shop. I am disppointed in buyer for not contacting me sooner and am now contemplating leaving neg feedback. I am concerned that she will neg me - no reason to but just becuase I neg her.
What would you do??
Thanks

Have you closed the dispute? This will give them a NPB strike.
It's best to neg when deserved, to warn other people what they're like. If we didn't leave negs because we were afraid to, what would be the point of feedback?
You can always leave a follow-up to their neg (if they leave you one) explaining that it was a purely retaliatory neg.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Like fay said, if you go through the npb process and they get a non paying bidder strike you can leave them neg feedback but they can't fpr you as when they try it will just leave "this member did not repond to npb" or something along those lines
My first ever Ebay Challenge. So far after fees etc for 2007 - £635.72 :T0 -
Even if you do get a negative in response, you should do the right thing and leave a negative for this 'buyer'. As frivolous_fay said you can always respond to the negative she leaves.
IMHO eBay would be a better place if people werent so concerned about getting a negative/keeping their 100% positive and leave negative feedback when it is justified.0 -

I guessed that 'The buyer responded to say sorry but she had bought it cheaper from a shop.' meant the buyer HAD responded to the dispute, and therefore IS able to leave feedback. My TV is broken!

I think in this case a netural is required.
You did leave it 14 days (I would have chased after 3 and 7) and maybe she is an inexperienced buyer (this is no excuse) who thought it would just go away?
You do need to get your seller fees back though, through the dispute channel. It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -

Not on this board I'm afraid. We can all offer advice but we should not be seen as vigilantes.frivolous_fay wrote:I guessed that 'The buyer responded to say sorry but she had bought it cheaper from a shop.' meant the buyer HAD responded to the dispute, and therefore IS able to leave feedback.
As usual fay I agree with you, the OP says the buyer responded so that means the buyer can still leave feedback.

I found the below in help on ebay hope it helps.....
Losing Feedback Privileges
When a buyer does not respond to an Unpaid Item notification and the seller issues an Unpaid Item strike against them, the buyer can still leave a feedback comment, but the feedback rating they leave for the transaction will not appear and will not count toward the seller’s feedback score.
An eBay administrative note will appear under the feedback comment, explaining that the member did not participate in the Unpaid Item process.
Buyers should always respond to disputes opened within the Unpaid Item process. If you have resolved the situation outside of this process (for example, by making a payment by phone or email), please go back to the Dispute Console to enter a comment. Otherwise, you may lose your feedback privileges for that transaction.
Note: When an Unpaid Item dispute is closed automatically, the buyer will lose feedback privileges immediately. This happens when the buyer is no longer a registered user of eBay at the time of the Unpaid Item filing.0
