Carers allowance is for her disabled son, not for her.
She is not claiming unemployment benefit.

Just to correct you here, Carers allowance is for the OP. Disability Living allowance is for the child which she gets as you have to get one to get the other.

....fancy making people work for nothing
maybe if they got paid -steve 1980 you would not have to pay her benifits...
its funny how people accept this?

This is the point I was making upthread.

  • These companies are taking the p, there are thousands of people who have paid tons in ni and tax and are now being told oh sorry we have no real paying jobs for you only lots of low paid supermarket jobs and if your unlucky enough to be made unemployed you can work for nohing! Lets just keep building more warehouses and supermarkets then we can all work for next to nothing just as long as the cost of living = zero.

Excuse me if i dont break out the champagne, its only the dreamers out there stuck in their safe bubbled world who would suggest this is a real good deal.I think some on here need a taste of the real world .Try telling your mortgage company that you cant pay this month cos youre working for nothing. Love to see their reaction.

I totally agree with you, If I am ordered to do a full time work placement then I am afraid I will be looking into it and seeing If my human rights are being exploited. I can see big company's making hundreds of thousands of people unemployed and then going to the jobcentre's and recruiting the unemployed, Why would they pay a proper wage when they can get people for nothing and they will probably get tax breaks for helping out the system, Its's a huge P!ss take and its exploiting the weak

I have followed this thread from the start, i have been in praise of the OP for wanting to change her lot in life and is prepared to do anything even work for free as she did on this work trial for the promise of a job.

I think it bad form from tesco that have taken the p!ss with her on this one, Cindy shouldn't be condemned it's the system that condones this sort of underhand tactic for people to find employment, and what galls me is the jobcentre threaten to sanction JSA claims if they don't go on these work trials. It reminds me of the 80's and YTS and all the exploitation that took place then.

it seems its not just tescos doing this now,, i was also offered same at marks and spencers but it was days and 16 hrs a week with no mention of how long for,
i cant do days , but someone on here also posted an advert from reeds employment where alot of the main retailers where doing the same thing,,

lets all face it how many real jobs will be available to the unemployed if all the shops are starting this up to find maybe just 2 employees, with all the free labour these stores are getting from it this alone surely creates less real jobs for people who really do want to work,
lets hope Steve who's now looking for new employment dont get the same treatment ,

after all iv been told that this free work trial is the only way tesco are now hiring anyone,

I would like to thank all of you on here for your support encouragement and kind words, and wish you all a very happy Christmas and a prosperous new year to you all,
their is more to life than money and as long as we have our family's and good health we are all rich in so many ways,,

ohh heres hoping steve can understand my poor spelling bless him maybe he should av gone to specksavers, :rotfl::cool:
