    Any Android phone with a decent screen (aka. Not the wildfire/X10 mini) and the 3 network. 3 is great for mobile internet, and they are cheaper than most. £10/month SIM only = 100 minutes/3000 texts/1GB of data/internet and all the usual 3 stuff.

    I agree with 8567dude :) 3 are good for the internet, although I'm not overly impressed with my dealings with their customer service and their voice network doesn't seem to be as reliable, but they're probably the best for the internet.

    Three and T-Mobile are partners in there 3G Network, so there coverage should be the same and now with T-Mobile & Orange joining up they should start to share 3G signal.

    So T-Mobile might be the better network.

    +1 for "3" and I use skype for most of my calls instead of using 3's voice network,
    I use three's skype for messaging and talking to other skype users and Skype's own app for calling landlines.

    Since most of the people I call are already on Skype, my monthly data is hardly touched! (free skype with 3's app)

    thanks everyone

    Also, i currently check my email/ebay/shares etc on my sony ericsson C510, the screen is tiny and if im loading a web page with a lot of text/info (Ebay home page, share news page etc), it always crashes and doesnt load, and on the rare occasion it does (very rarely), the text/font is so small you cant read it anyway!!
    Do any mobiles offer the option to 'zoom in' or enlarge the image size while browsing the net?

    And im edging towards T Mobile now after reading a few moans about 3 Customer service
  • any android handset on 2.2 (froyo) or the galaxy s with T mobile. T mobile give 3GB limit for androids and also don't charge for going over!

    @BritishBoy
    Most browsers on mobile will zoom into a page (and reformat the text to fit the page width) you'll just need to do vertical scrolling like a normal page.

    the symbols are the different types of mobile signal data speeds
    Slow > Fast
    o (2g or GPRS), "E" EDGE which is a faster version of GPRS, "3G" (also known as HSPA) and Wi-fi (self explanatory).
