As an interesting side note, the Tesco website also crashes the Safari browser on both the iPhone and iPad too. Seems that there is something inherently wrong with one, the other, or both.

I order from Tesco a lot and use Safari, never had this problem, so I don't understand why some people do, yet I don't.

No, for a company the size of Tesco, that now sell the Ipad2 it certainly isn't. Safari is a browser based on Webkit - an open source browser engine used as the basis for Safari and Chrome, - which together have over 20% of the overall browser market.

Seems a bit of a PR Nightmare to be selling thousands of Ipad2s to Tesco's customers, only to find your actually cutting them off from purchasing anything from you in doing so.

Personally I'm getting fed up of forgetting, and having 10-20 Windows open, which are wiped once I head to the Tesco Website. Its about time they came up with a solution. Crashing browsers is an unacceptable behaviour for a major Website such as Tesco.

I would imagine that tescos won't worry too much seeing as the fault seems to lie at safaris feet. Every other browser seems to work including chrome and qtweb both of which use webkit. Maybe people should contact Apple to sort it, and they can make the 5% of people in the world using safari happy.
