  • And I'm sure they'll add a bit on the top to take care of merchant costs for changing the currency, and to mitigate against currency fluctuations and to round it up to a nice number!
    You're absolutely right. It's usually the tax differences that make the majority of the difference, however.

    How can the price from a US supplier include VAT?

    VAT is charged by UK retailers and repaid to the UK VAT authorities. The VATman cannot collect from a US-based company, the company will not be registered, nor will it fill in VAT returns!
