  • You think they'd decide if they want people before sending the test and wasting our time!

Did you mail them and then they changed their mind? Just wondering whether to get in touch with them or leave it........
  • They are recruiting in the UK again, according to their website.

Hi. How's everyone doing with applications made after 28th? I applied on 28th, was sent the application and test forms. Sent form back this am but received the autoresponse saying no longer recruiting for UK. Given the experiences chronicled on this thread, wondered whether anyone knows if I might still hear as had actually got to stage of filling in the form etc or whether was complete waste of time.

Does anyone know anything about other options? Someone mentioned ansanow.com so I realise that AQA is not the only answer service but it seems to be the one mentioned most often here. Are there any others worth trying? How does pay compare? Has anyone given up on AQA and tried others with success?

I applied to ansanow.com , got a reply that I would be contacted a week later...still waiting. Saw a post about this site http://www.justanswer.com/ this morning and applied today. Its American based but looks like researchers can come from almost any country. There is also www.82ask.com the recruitment ad on their website is dated July 2006 so I emailed and asked if its still relevant. Reply came back quite quickly inviting me to apply via their website but some of the questions seem quite difficult so I havent applied myself to that one just yet. I havent seen any posts on this board from anyone that works for any of these other companies, only Aqa.

    Happy New Year all!!!

I have got myself in a right pickle!!
I am still waiting to hear that AQA have my contract and am so pleased I am almost in!!.
I am on extended maternity leave from a rubbish job (1 and a half days per week) and took home approx £300 a month after tax. I have now officially quit. I am hoping I can make up the money I will lose from not working there from AQA but am wondering how realistic that is??? Any expert AQAers what do you think?? As I said I have a 7 month old and also a 3 1/2 yr old so am able to do as many evenings as it takes just so I can be with them in the day but am getting all in a tizz as my partner doesn't think I will make enough and that I should be looking for something else too??!!
I don't know why I am so stressed really!!
    Thanks! Rant over!!!
