Ok.
The only problem is I'm expected to arrive at London Waterloo the same minute my next train leaves.
Is that do-able? I thought my train may arrive 5 mins earlier due to national rail been abit dodgy on timing.. e.g they say 30min walk from Liverpool Central to Lime Street when in fact it's only 5mins..
Also if I missed my train from London Waterloo to Euston would I be able to walk that distance (only takes 42mins according to google maps which is less than train!) and then get my train from Euston. The only reason i thought I may not be able to is because of the rule you're not allowed to get off at an earlier stop than your ticket says, but wouldn't I have different tickets for the underground.
If you want to see what I'm rambling on about go to national rail website...
Start at Ainsdale (06:00 onwards) to Southampton (return 5:00pm+)
And it should be second return single down leaving southampton at 5:30pm. Just look at route and times?
Thanks.0 -
*Now £26 something for return single.

Wow this is stressing.
Can now get return from Southampton for £18.50.
£1 Megatrain from Southampton - London Waterloo
Walk from Waterloo to Euston
Then £17.50 from Euston to Ainsdale
Is that reasonable for me to book later before that goes! ?

the walk from waterloo to Euston will take a good 35 - 40 mins. or you can get a bus.. They always give wide travelling times on the tube but most of the time its never that.."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0

Right after the disappearance of that £15 fare I can still get:-
Return to London Euston from Ainsdale for £44.30 then two £1 from London Waterloo to Southampton so still £46.
I might book it later if I can't find anything better.0 -
Now I've found I can return from London to Liverpool Lime Street for £5 on Megatrain.. though I'll then need parent to pick me up. :O
So £6 return single if he agrees.
Now the problem of outgoing again.
So many options...0 -
Ok.

.
You are not.
The times they show for the tube journey are not real - they occupy the whole of the interval beween stations, not the actual journey time.
Euston to Waterloo on the tube is 10 minutes on the tube plus whatever time it takes to get to/from the platforms
There's probably no great rush to book for 8 December - but the cheap fares are quota limited and there is the danger they will sell out which you are making up your mind.0 -
