[STRIKE]
I was using my internet on sat with no problems at all, I disconnected at about 4pm, and tried to reconnect again at 6pm between this time sometime went wrong(after having it connected for 11months) :(
I am currently using a o2 wireless box 2, I called o2 and recieved a new router on tuesday as all the phoneline tests...etc are fine, plugged in the new box and the same problem, still can not connect usinging wireless or ethernet, tried to run the startup disk again and got a error message when it tried to connect to the phone line, I have done a online test of the line with no problems, called bt and got them to do a test and they said its fine, then called o2 who carried out various tests and have told me the phone line is perfect.
Now waiting for a call back from o2 to see what happens next, so thought I would se if anyone has any ideas on here what may be up
Any help would be great
[/STRIKE]

Issue has now been sorted, Something to do with the exchange point in the end (so I'm told)

Thank you everyone for your help

  • Have you tried swapping the adsl filters for new/different ones? Make sure filters are on everything with a phone connected to it (sky box aswell!)
    Useful is beautiful

What were you doing before you disconnected, did you install/uninstall any software, run a registry cleaner?

Have you run a antivirus scan and malware scan?

    PC or laptop, what OS?

Have you tried connecting with another PC/laptop?

Just trying to establish if it's your line or PC/laptop that's the problem.

Are you posting from work just now then?

Well if there is no internet/broadband light on your router then I would get back to o2.

Have you tried asking on the o2 broadband forum here...........
