    I've been Money Tipped!
Paypal use debt collection agencies - so I'd go for the cash in hand option

As suggested I will go for the cash in hand option.

I will send him an email requesting date for pick up and cash in hand asap.

    Thanks

  • There is a very cheap twice weekly (at least) bus service from Poland to England, none stop it takes about 24 hours I think. Collection should be easy. S/He may be coming to live here.

Just watch that this isn't a variation of the 419 Nigerian scam...ie buyer sends cheque for more than cost price asks you to refund him the difference and hold the car until he collects later. You pay in cheque, it clears for funds you refund the overpayment and cheque then bounces for 'fraud'.

Cars should only ever be cash on collection, so stick with that.

Can I sell this car to somebody else as I did mention that the car had been advertised elsewhere. Its been more than 48 hrs and I havent heard anything from the buyer despite sending him 2 emails. I have got a buyer and im quite happy to accept a lower amount just to end all this hassle??

No one can stop you selling the car elsewhere but should the buyer be genuine you might end up with him making a non performing seller complaint against you. Ebay don't allow you to start a non performing buyer complaint until day 7 and it could be a further 8 days after that before you can close the dispute.

There are lots of Polish citizens working over here - it may be the case that he/she is over here, but has their eBay account registered in Poland. If your English was limited, you'd sign up on eBay for your country of origin, wouldn't you?
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
