Hi all
I have relisted my car after problem with first buyer.Within an hour of relisting the car has been sold for £450 using the buy it now option. Great ..... but the buyer is polish with an address from Poland. The auction clearly said local pick-up only.Payment and local pick-up within a week was also clearly marked. Now Im worried again......... is this some kind of scam. The buyer has only got one feedback .......
PLease share your expertise in this matter before I respond to the buyer.
Im not having much luck selling my car!!!

How much feedback has the buyer got and how long have they benn on ebay for?
Emil them and tell them it is for collection only and they will probably pull out if they cannot comply with the auction0 -
As mentioned he has only one feedback and I assume he has not been a member for long (I cant get to my ebay account right now as Im at work!!)
If he does pull out......how does the matter get resolve (as far as getting it back on for the auction is concerned) as he has already bought the car using the "buy it now" option.Berba0 -
It's quite possible that they are in the UK, but still with Polish details on file.0

What payment method(s) have you specified? In this situation I would only accpet cash on collection. If the buyer doesn't turn up start the unpaid item process0
-
As long as you take cash on collection, there should be no problem (he could send anyone round if he's in fact on the continent). Otherwise, you will have to wait for the NPB process to complete and good luck selling it a third time!:wall:0

Will it not be better if I sent him an invoice to pay by Paypal. Then If he does not turn up to collect then its his problem............ or is it not as simple as that?Berba0

No. Paypal can take the money back. Cash is yours for keeps0 -
paypal can surely take the money back but if the buyer does not turn up and I withdraw the money from my account surely the buyer cannot complain and paypal wont be able to withdraw the fund back???? Only reason Im thinking of this is because Im, for some reason, convince he wont turn up. Just a dreaded feeling I suppose!!Berba0

I don't know whether Paypal can pursue you for the money or not but I'd still rather have the cash in my hand!0
