Thank you! I did look on Suttons before, but searching didn't bring anything up ??
I shall have a look now, thanks!
ETA - ARE the Suttons one pineberries? Aren't the Suttons ones just white strawbs?
ETA again... they're all standard white strawberries on all the links. I'm looking for the one that tastes slightly like pineapple:

Hi Rainbow
I understand that at present, you can’t purchase pineberry plants to grow in your garden as VitalBerry (who owns the rights) are only growing to sell the fruit not the seeds or plants at this time.
You could try contacting them and asking when they are planning to sell seeds/plants on a retail basis in the U.K.?

As it is basically a strawberry [and apparently not a very tasty one either] you presumably could buy some from Waitrose, squish one up and sow the seeds
May take a while to produce fruiting plants, maybe for 2012?Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
There is a great post about pineberries at strawberryplants.org. The article contains info about pineberry plants, including their history and where you can buy your own pineberry plants to grow. The article is currently on their main page (i wasn't able to post the link due to being a new member) Hope that helps!0

Here's the link US site BTW
Seems they are hybrids, so my suggestion of squishing & sowing seed may not produce identical items
Plants not available unless Dutch grower chooses to make them soEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

can I ask why? there are about 1,000 strawb varieties, many more tasty than pineberries.Freedom is the freedom to say that 2+2 = 4 (George Orwell, 1984).

You can buy pineberry plants from w w w . idealworld .uk for £14.99. My mum bought a couple and gave me one of them back in May.
It grows just like a strawberry, and I have got two runners in a matter of a few weeks, so you could probably get away with just buying one if you can be patient, as they are on the expensive side.
I cannot wait to try the fruit, I have been blogging about its progress. The latest article is at w w w. gardensmallholding. co. uk and contains information and pictures.0
