Chelsea isa to Chelsea isa

Has anyone moved from an ordinary maturing fixed rate Chelsea isa to their new fixed 2yr 'e' isa ? Ideally it should be a straightforward seamless transfer with no loss of interest, being an internal thing --or is that too much to hope for?
( I Remember N.Rock insisting on sending a maturity cheque back to me, to be replaced by a personal cheque to be sent back to them with the new application form just to change from one of their accounts to another-(not an isa though)) Two lots of cheque clearing.

I have the answer to this now incase anyone else with a maturing Chelsea isa is thinking of transferring to the 'e' one. You can just apply for the new 'e' one and opt to have it funded internally from the old one, so thats good, but I was warned that even once youve applied, if the 'e' one is withdrawn suddenly before the batch of isas due to mature on the 22nd, do so, then they will cancel the application.
