And the first time you did, you suffered £200 charges you say (which I still fail to understand )
What did you think would happen if you did the same 6 months later?
Why didn't you learn from that initial mistake?
Source?
Even if you arrange a planned O/D the same day (before 3.30pm) you shouldn't get charged unplanned OD fees
I really cannot be bothered to argue with you any more.
The money really doesn't bother me.
And if you're this much of a pain, I can imagine the FOS will be just the same.
Thanks alot0 -
I don't see the point to this comment, But at the time we were 18, Unemployed and the area we live in is not that cheap to rent in. £500 a month is a varying figure, Depending on if they'd paid the water bill the last 3 months or if the council tax was over due.
Some months they paid none of their bills and went away for 2-3 weeks, You can see the annoyance when they used to stick water bills to his bedroom door which were 3-4 months over due, And he had been paying them. But if this is the reaction of people, Maybe it's best to drop it.
When you've thought about it more, if you still need help or advice, feel free to post again. We're always here to help"Now to trolling as a concept. .... I'm not arguing; just trying to obtain the facts about your issue to ensure you get appropriate advice.
Yes, whoever you approach will need to clarify these with you first before being able to help you.

So didn't he ever use any water at home? Drinking? cooking? washing? toilet?
Perhaps you don't understand. Every month an agreed amount was given (1/3 of water 1/3 of council tax 1/3 of gas 1/3 of electric)
They would then NOT pay the gas bill for 2-3 months
Having already had his share of the bill they would then ask for 1/3 of the over due amount.
When you work that out thatis 2/3 or a bill meaning he was paying the lionshare of the bills while his mother and step dad paid a 1/3.0 -

The funny thing, After every month he paid them the money.
(money in the draw the 1st of the month or no food)
They brought something new.
They brought a campervan one month, A barge the next.
I think the best was the brand new TV. Oh and the laptop off ebay.
We don't speak to them any-more, And the fact that he had a really nasty accident and has been since miss-diagnosed with epilepsy was replied to with 'He's your problem now'
Funny how some people make rubbish parents.
I wish I could just claim the money back off them. Or at least rub it in their face how well we're doing now.0 -
Hi Jadebee,
Sounds like he is best off without parents like those! I sympathise that it was a rough time for you and it often seems like the banks just go out of their way to make things worse for you (trust me have been there!). But unfortunately it doesn't sound like you would be able to claim under financial hardship - mainly because it would be very hard to prove what exactly his money was going on since it was being paid direct to his parents rather then direct to the bills - and no other methods seem to be having any success at the moment.
I appreciate it is frustrating that the banks seem to just 'get away' with this kind of thing but at least take comfort in the fact that you've managed to break the cycle and get yourselves sorted out now. Good luck x0
