Do I have to pay for iphone ringtones?

I only like one of the ones loaded on the phone (the old fashioned phone one) & DH uses that.

I downloaded an app called Free R&B ringtones, but when I clicked the email link it said "Oops! You have exceeded the daily download limit of 50. Please try again later." which is rubbish because I haven't had one let alone 50:(

  • You don't have to pay for iPhone ringtones, no. You can create your own but only using tracks you have uploaded to iTunes yourself. Apple don't allow you to convert to ringtones songs you have purchased from iTunes. I'll have a mooch around on the internet and see if I can find the instructions for you.

There's a free program called iRinger. It lets you make a 30 sec long ringtone from any mp3 you have.

Once the ringtone is created, it automatically uploads it into iTunes for you. When you sync your iPhone, it puts it in your ringtones. I have made lots of ringtones for different contacts in my phone.

  • I use this site below. Simply search your ringtone, click the link and then choose to download to Itunes. Sync with your phone hey presto! Should have a ringtone within 30 seconds once you've sussed what you're doing. Good luck
