How much are you paying for LPG in the south?

Hi,
Currently in a dispute with FloGas about price rises (as usual!)
Just wondering if people in the south and south west (I live in dorset) could give me an idea of what they are paying per litre, who they are with and how they would rate the company.
To start things rolling:
i'm with FloGas and paying 48p/litre on a metered estate and think FloGas are hopeless for customer service.
Thanks all!

with flogas 39p at present go back to them and say you have a different supplier who can do it cheaper they wil match the price, they all just do it to see if they can get away with charging a higher price. have a ring round se if there is a local supplier who does lpg may get it cheaper or countrywide farmers may be able to get you a better price read your post again if you are on a estate how much are you all using as you should be able to get a far better price than this as it is one delivery to you all not just a one off. ask your neigbours how much they use per year calculate the whole and see what you can get a price for the lot eg 2k per houshold x ten 20k of lpg a lot of lpg so better price. get together and get a spokesman to argue your case for a bulk price0

Hi,
I live on a metered estate in Didcot, currently supplied by Flogas.
We are pating 46ppl i think at the moment, which is quite high as i have been informed that we are one of the biggest customers in the country!
Looking round on the web we should be paring about 40ppl.0 -
40p a ltr is obove norm i have had a quote for 36p a ltr from a inderpendant. living on estates you should be able to get together and work out your usage per year and ring around and haggle. comercial users are paying a lot less last i heard this was about a year ago were paying 22p a ltr as it was in bulk and one delivery you are the same one customer as such one delivery so should get a far better price than 40p. they may have to send you a seperate bill and each time they fill calculate how much each one of you have had but this is just paperwork so it should not be more than 2p a ltr for admin. get together and get them to give you a better price there is more than one supplier as in my previous try countrywide if you have total usage you may be very suprised how cheap you can get your gas for0

Thanks for your input so far everyone.
Basically, myself and a few other neighbours are out of contract but some are still in and wont end until next year.
I complained to FloGas about our pricing and told them that Countrywide would supply us for about 38p/litre or less.
Flogas replied saying that they offer good value and that no one else charges less than they do unless it is an introductory offer.
I want to provide evidence to them that this is not the case (as they well know!) - hence this post.
Thanks again!
I look forward to changing to countrywide ASAP!0 -
Meant to say, have been back to FloGas - because they know we're stuck in a contract they wont budge on price0

just curious, If someone is in a contract with a supplier, what happens if you cancel the contract, do they still demand money? do they take the gas away? can they fine you? what is written in the T&C's?There are three types of people in this world...those that can count ...and those that can't!

* The Bitterness of Low Quality is Long Remembered after the Sweetness of Low Price is Forgotten!0 -
