new or used smartphone with data

hi all,

so i need a new phone. i call and text little, but need data access (not going to stream video, so i don't mind reasonable caps). i also need some decent maps on the thing - i find navigating in london impossible so far. i don't particularly care if the phone is used or new, nor whether it's contract or PAYG. preferably not too old android or iphone 3gs/4, although i don't mind bb/nokia/whatever-else-is-there that fits the description. what are my options (least expensive, but still decent)?

The Orange San Francisco is best bet new. Comes with Google Maps and Google Navigation and is £99 new on PAYG and unlockable to any network for a couple of quid.
