Can you not suggest doing it in the new year then you could put a little away each month, that way you dont miss out but you also dont need to put it on a cc.
Some people can be so thoughtless sometimes, you are doing a fantastic job its not about how much you earn its all about how you spend it. When you quit your job you had your reasons and i bet your quality of life is very different now.MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035

Yeah, my quality of life for me and my husband is so much better now. I am healthy and feel more positive most of the time. Good idea Herewego, the problem is they both want to go before Christmas and do shopping, show and stay over. I don't know, i think it's a matter of just grining and bearing it at the moment, yes i could probably go, but like you say it would mean putting it onthe CC, then that has to be paid and the debt takes longer to get rid of, so i'm going to have to be strong and just say no.
I've never been bothered about how much money i have, as long as i can pay the bills, i'm ok, i just get to thinking about how different our situation would be if i was able to do the job i had been trained for. Oh well, not to worry. hubby is home now and time for cuddle and then tea!0 -
Well a bit of money saving is always good, needed to renew my breakdown cover, then realised that a sister company of the company i work for actually provides cover, checked their website and it was £64.99, £15 cheaper than the company i went with last year for homestart cover, so then i thought wonder if i can get it cheaper? So i rang the freephone number and managed to get a years worth of european cover including homestart, basically the top package for £45 flat! And i got extra bonus points added to my membership account!
Ok, on the bad side, i spent money today, only £1.20, needed some potatoes and a loaf, but bothe were reduced!!! Lol, i'm so sad, i get excited when i see reduction labels, i start thinking about what i can make if i buy the reduced items together, like, humous and potatoes, or carrots and garlic bread!
Right, off to put another jumper on because i'm freezing! No heating for me!0 -
Fantastic news on the breakdown cover mine cost me £100+ this year but that was for 2 cars and we have used it 3 times already.
Put the heating on it's far too cold not to, I hate being coldMARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035

Hiaylithuk..has he thought about growing a few pots in the kitchen/ window sill etc..I would suggest garden but not in this weather! Even now we still have some thyme marjoram etc in the garden and the bay tree keeps on going regardless of weather. If you buy spices we stock up at a local Asian supermarket. Maybe you don't have one near but if you do they are amazing and cheap for everything from tinned tomatoes and beans, rice, spices, garlic etc etc..the list is endless.. Pulses..makes a real difference to the weekly shopping bill if you usually use national supermarkets.
Cheers
