The best thing to do if you are buying a cashback phone is send it my post and recorded delivery to ensure that they get and somebody at their end has to sign for it. That way they cannot claim they lost it or anything silly. A lot of companies try to claim they lost it or even worse purposely keep their cashback system in the middle ages so some will get lost and not processed. Its a real nightmare if you don't send it recorded delivery.
The company itself is owned by carphone warehouse so they are as legal as the others, but then they do this to get around it.
Actually although that is reasonable advice I run dozens of these contracts and haven't used recorded delivery for at least a couple of years. I always ensure I can prove they received it or would take appropriate action to ensure I can and then don't lose any sleep over whether they wish to commence a new game of "you can't have your cashback". I always win that one.0 -

How do you prove that they have received it ?0 -
Just to update - I received a "Claim Approved" email today at 14:09 - around 24 hours after I submitted two seperate caims via the webclaim route (I use screenshots of the O2 accounts which I entitle {month}-{Order ID Number}-{Mobile Number} so there's no mistaking the two.)
Just sent an email for them to confirm whether it's 1 or 2 claims approved!
Funny you should say that, but I submitted my second claim on my 2 phones a couple of days ago and I too got an email within 24 hrs to say the cheques are in the post!
I wonder what amounts they'll be this time?!?!?:D0 -

Submitted claim via web site on 29th or 30th oct, had email confirmation of it being received on 2nd Nov I think and another on 3rd says cashback approved.
Have to wait for 28 days though for cheque to come through....will see ....0 -
And both cheques arrived todayWell, got confirmation today that both claims were approved - now just waiting on the cheques

I have to admit that taking the tough line with this company as per the advice of many people here is the only way to make sure you'll come out with the deal you took.0
