Wedding hamper ideas

My sister is getting married for the second time in May and I'd like to do a wedding hamper for her as a gift. They both have well paid jobs and her partner has just sold his house to move in with her so they have everything they need home wise.

My idea was to give them a his and hers hamper. I suppose its a pamper hamper rather than a wedding one. Thanks to the Christmas hamper ideas I was going to include

a babysitting IOU as my sister has a 5 year old son
a nice bottle of wine
good quality chocolate

I thought maybe I could put it all in one of those wicker ironing/laundry baskets that Asda sell, I think they are about £3.

Can anyone give me some other ideas to include in the hamper, or should I change the theme to home related?

  • What a fantastic idea! What about including a beautiful (but inexpensive) photo frame so they can use it for one of the wedding photos?

That is a really good idea - I think I'll pinch that one if you don't mind? :D

I can't think of anything to put in...urm, maybe vouchers??? or something that will remind your sister of when you were growing up?

Thats a great idea as she's always taking photos and printing them off at home. I'm going to keep a look out for things in the sales after Christmas that I can add, hopefully it will have lots of goodies in it. Boots do a pamper hamper for £60 with what looks like 4 items in it!

I tell you what, I'm going to keep a record of what I put in it and then wrap it up in cellophane and post a picture on here when its finished with the total cost. :)

There are some ideas in Home Made Gifts collection that'll be able to find using the "our Collections link in my sig or the "Indexed Collections" link in the blue bar at the top of the page.

I'm pretty sure there was a Pamper Hamper type thing in there somewhere, and other ideas might just trigger a thought or two :)

A wee trip to lush might be called for, they do some fantastic massage bars, and bath bombs albeit that they can be a little pricey I think it's worth it.

    I'd say to stick in

    wine
    chocs
    baby sittin voucher
massage bar (or a bottle of oil)
    bath bombs
    choccy sauce
squirty cream ( and a bar of soap and a big towel for getting washed up afterwards!)

Maybe it's time for me to get my coat...................HTH

Hi, I'm going to do a memory basket for our friends, I will include things like the paper for that day, the top cd, coins for the year etc. Maybe you could incorprate a memory section.
