it has been an issue at certain hotels in NYC all year along with many other destinations around the world,it is just NYC has had loads of media attention where as other places have not.

there is a website where you can check what hotels have a problem and out of the many hotels in and around NYC it is only really a small % affected.
i went to NYC early oct and had no issues and never spoke to anyone who did,there were some scare mongerers out and about in the city giving out leaflets but that is the only bed bug related problem i had.
certainly would not let it stop me visiting NYC again.

i think its mid town (around 96 street) in May for 4 nights for £246
no meals. which I booked through MSE hotel search with a website called

this price was cheaper than any inclusive package company could get

We had stayed at this hotel before (and it was a hotel, all equivalent hotels turned out to be Hotel/Hostels)
Cheap but acceptable

And the best (cheapest/and almost quickest) way to get from Newark Airport to New York is by train (njtransit or the amtrak) from Newark to Penn Station (35th street)
