Then I called home for something to eat and a half hour later I picked my brother up from visiting Mam and took him to get some bulk shopping in at Mr M's who have some grrrreat offers on at the moment. Back home, unpacked the shopping, sorted out some of my things, then down to doctors for appointment at 3.10 to get my prescription - only, the doc was running a little late  and it was nearly 4 by the time I got in to see her. In the meantime, my sister's metro train that I was meant to meet her from had arrived and she'd had time to walk up to the docs and sit with me until I went in. 2 minutes later, we were on our way down to see Mam and we were there from 4.15 to 6.15 pm

I agree with you SW - that is the true meaning of Christmas and I must admit to being a little disappointed that the little one's play was about Snowmen rather that a nativity, but the older kids play included the story into something else. With each part of the story told from around the world, the nativity was played out in front of the stage, until, at the end, the 4 older children acting as storytellers who, in the story, didn't know what the fuss was about but during the play they became in awe of the whole thing and everyone sang about Christ and the true meaning of Christmas :j :j :j :jMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Mam was mainly asleep today when my brother was down there around lunch-time, barely waking up for her food and meds. She was a little more awake when my sister and I arrived, but woke more later, though she seemed weaker today
Anyway, she didn't want any tea or juice, but then she later ate nearly all of her dinner of scrambled eggs with some form of gravy over them, that looked like baked bean sauce mixed with gravy - well she enjoyed it anyway, and she then had some juice and a dunked bourbon, before the nurse brought her meds and she had her nebuliser. My sister then gave her some ice cream, just a little, to refresh her mouth
I didn't tell her that I was going home tomorrow and won't go to see her before I go as I don't really have time, as it will be hard to explain it to her and more than likely she will forget by next visit anywayMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

True, he has
My sister got an offer from East Coast rail with £8 fares on that line for the 7 or so weeks of the New Year, so I checked online this afternoon and booked 2 x £8 single fares to come back up her on the 8th Jan for a week, and, after with checking with Mr Dogs while I was waiting at the docs, I am going to book for 4 weeks after that too, for a week until the end date of the offer 17th Feb. You have to book quick on these offers as at those prices the seats go fast, and in any case, you have only 4 days to book under the offerMr 3Dogs 3-7-12
