Update on Mam:

Mam was still sleeping when I went down at 4.45 pm and when my sister and I left at 7 pm too. But she is sleeping soundly with no trouble with her breathing. The doctor called in to see her and said she will look in on her tomorrow too, to see if any change. Nurse did not give her the 5 pm meds as she was too soundly asleep but will try at 10 pm

I am going down there first thing in the morning to check what she is like, to see if it is OK for my neice to take the girls down - it will be no good taking them if she is just sleeping again, not if she is like she was yesterday as that would be too distressing for them, but we'll see

When me and my brother were at the home around 1/1.30 pm today, the aircraftcarrier Ark Royal returned to the River Tyne and moored right in front of the care home!! We saw her slowly edge her way in and moor up, with all the crew standing along the rails - it was great to see. The home overlooks the marina and is set higher up on the side of a hill, so we looked down over a road, then the marina of small sailing boats and cruisers, to the jetty/dock where she is to moor for 4 days before being decommissioned. It was odd seeing her coming home to the Tyne for the last time, as I saw her when she was launched in 1981. I worked in an office block on the other side of the river, and we saw her slip down into the water from the shipyard dry dock from my office window - the wash from the launch flooded our side of the river

Ark Royal has had a lot of work done on her near where I live.

Wow to see the aircraft carrier Ark Royal being moored up alongside the tyne and next to the home. Did you take any pics as would love to see them sometime.

I'm OK today SW thank you - Mam is resting as you say, and she is not in pain or unhappy - even when she was rambling yesterday, it was all happy things she talked about as she smiled a lot all the time she was chattering

Gosh everyone is quiet tonight. Well shall i tell you how silly i have been i accidentally injected twice and my blood sugar fell to 2. so i have drunk lucozade and i will probably nod off in a bit. has anyone got a funny joke to cheer me up?
