The site is a little slow and secured -
Will your browser let you access it properly? Try the direct link that avoids popup blockers and such.

I have downloaded firefox, but am not sure what to do what it is asking me whether I want to make it my default browser, should I click yes. At the moment, I am using IE, and have just access firefox and can confirm I can now get to the secure site of 18866. Thanks0 -

In your opinion, is firefox better than IE? It's just I am using dial up bt surftime 24/7 and with firefox I have to connect to btyahoo internet first and click on the firefox icon on my desktop. Am I doing the right thing, it's just with IE I can access my Btyahoo home page as soon as it is loaded.
With firefox I have to type each website again. Also I found I could not open attachments with IE, but can do so with firefox, might make it my default browser when I get used to it. Anyway, how do I revert back to IE if need be. Thanks for your help.0 -
I have heard and read plenty of people say Firefox is better - loads pages faster, is more secure, easier to use (tabbed browsing). Computer geeks are adopting it in large numbers. I've used it a bit, but am (probably lazily) still on IE6 a lot of the time. Some pages eg Windows Update only work in IE.
You can import your favourites via File>Import and set your homepage via Tools>Options>General (I just have it blank though). If you set it as default then want to go back presumably IE will ask the question0 -

As this thread seems to be going slightly off-topic but relevant to 18866 I am going to change the title to include Firefox then we can keep on here.
I am a happy user of Firefox and to anyone who is on dial up I found it loaded pages very much quicker than IE and of course I do like the tabbed pages along the top. Personally I changed to having Firefox as my default browser very quickly.
If anyone wants to find out more about Firefox please check out the Techie Board.0
