Why cant they work things out properly in the first place to save all the confusion:mad::mad:0 -
On the other side of the coin I got two letters saying I owed them a total £1600 in underpaid PAYE tax! :-(

Got a letter through from HMRC this morning saying im owed £487 in over paid tax.
:D:D:D
Thought i'd put it up here as it could be that they are getting round to dealing with norn iron people in the big blunder they made this year, just in time for christmas. :j has anyone else got one of these?
I got one but only for £41 but its better than nothing.0 -
I got a lovely one yesterday from HMRC yesterday asking for a £420 contribution because of under paid National Insurance:eek: for the 2008-2009 tax year.
I've only worked constantly for the NHS for the past 18 years in the same job so you can see where the miscalculations may have come in :insert rolly eyes smiley:
Our wonderful finance department tells us its nothing to do with them:eek: after all they only pay us and our tax and NI and pension contributions:rotfl:
Been advised to return the form with copy of P60 from that year and all will be hunky dory again:oI am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0 -
So now I am feeling sick...I've been "temping" for a number of years, doing part-time work between full-time contracts, and signing on when there was no work at all coming my way. My tax must be a right nightmare to work out. Is there any website or other source of guidance to help me work it out myself, especially given that my case isn't so straightforward?
Thanks.0 -
