    Exel,

If you don't mind me asking, and plead the fifth if you like, how did you manage to get 7? I thought the limit was 3? I'm guessing OH as well, but how the 7th? Oh, joint a/c?!

No joint accounts and all opened by 07/09 prior to account limitations being put in place which did not come into force until Sept/Oct 09 ?

The moral is to act quickly when you find an account which works for you. Numerous times with many different banks it has been possible to open multiple accounts before limitations were set, especially with regular savers. Now though, most, but not all have clamped down on this.

    Mr Bear,

I got £18.70? I do find it odd how much it varies month to month. Balance does go up & down a bit, but closing daily balance is usually £7000.

Was yours below £7000 closing at all?

The bear facts are I got £18.69 and not £18.54. I always make sure I never go below the £7000.

You must have done something not to comply.

Hiya. OK, well I credited the account with £2000 during the month and ended up with a balance of £4000.

I made £5 in interest, having received £9 with a lower balance last month. Perhaps last month's amount was too high?

    Beats me!

How many days was the account below £3000 during October (earning the 2% rather than 3% rate)? Presumably the "lower balance" in September was above £3000 for the majority of the month.

    Just checked my interest today.
I could confirm nothing wrong with the interest payment.
