  • i must be one of the few who isnt all that bothered bout getting it on release day, dont get me wrong, i love a good shoot em up (bring back classic doom!!) but not for the prices some places charge, so for me to wait till today, order from tesco, and get it by lets say the end of the week, im ok with that, plus i still have other games which ive not completed yet, only now playing the first bioshock, haha.

Same here. I've got Madden 11 still unopened from a couple of weeks ago and yet to complete Heavy Rain!

Surely at 18, he's aware that things don't always arrive when expected?

My son is not 18 and before anyone says I should not let him have this game I would rather he was at home where I can see what he is playing and not sneaking around at someone elses house playing it. At the end of the day it is just a game and they can see worse on the news.

Just spoken to a very friendly lady on Currys customer line who said that they are selling it for £19.99 if you spend a minimum £50 in store. Might be worth it if your planning to get anything electrical?

Thank you thank you thank you:j

Daughter having a hard drive for xmas, so getting her that, son wants this game thingy so he's buying himself that. Just reserved at our local currys, got to spend another £2 to get to the £50 but all happy. Apparently there are massive queues in our tesco etc and rumour is that they've sold out anyway.

Well said. People just post on this site just to get a jump out of people.
    Very sad.
Any updates on how good the game is? I was going mad to buy MW2 last year but this year I haven't even bothered with BlackOps.
Just wondering wether to get it...

ive still not gotten round to buying madden 11, because the nfl games arent all that popular over here, they never dip below full price, and as much as i love the nfl, i cant afford that right now. but now you've reminded me about it, i may have to trade a couple of things in, not much i wanna let go of though, haha.

heavy rain was cool, i really enjoyed it, wouldnt mind seeing what the move edition is like.

i didnt think you could buy alcohol after 10pm in sainsburys as they dont have a licence to do so

Well ours was selling alcohol, and that was pretty much all everyone was buying to make the £30 minimum spend. I did wonder before I went down there but it was fine. Our shop normally sells alcohol until 11pm.

DH is happy with the game anyway, he's not sure if he likes it as much as MW2 but hasn't had a chance to play on it much apart from a bit last night, sure he will be on it as soon as he gets back from work!

as i found mw2 in morrisons last year for £26 when everywhere else that was cheap had already sold out i thought i would give them first chance of getting my money today. i looked at the cod stand and there were quite few boxes still there. however it was £39.99. i decided to try somewhere else. so i got on the bus to the next town. all the regular game shops were charging £44.99 but you could get a chart game and get it for £24.99. thats no good to me i just wanted cod. i then went to sainsburys. it had a big sign saying £27.98 i thought great and asked if they had any and they said yes. they gave me it to take to the tils to pay for. on my way looking at thr sticker on the box i noticed i had to buy £30 worth of shopping to get that price and the actual price was £37.99. so i gave them it back and got the bus to asda which is only a 10 minute walk from were i live. i got it there for £36.97. so i could have saved load of hassle and walked down the road to get it. thats the best price in my opinion. i'm not interested in deals were you have to buy something else you dont really want and pay £65 or more altogether.
