Internet Problems with Tesco Mobile

Hi

My son has just signed up for the new Tesco £10 monthly contract and it seemed to be very good. He has no problems making calls and sending texts, etc on his Nokia 5230 but recently he has had problems with the internet dropping out but texts and calls not effected. He has tried his Tesco SIM in other phones with the same effect at times.

He has spoken to various people at Tesco Mobile but no one really knows what it means. Someone said that as 3G is poor or non existent here in south Norfolk and this is the reason. Someone else said it is to do with a problem with data packages (?).

Has anybody else had similar problems or can anybody suggest anything to try to get over this problem?

    Yes i have just started having this problem using an iphone 4.

    It always used to work but the past few days I have only been able to use my mobile internet a couple of times in places that I would normally be ok without wifi.

    Tesco said to 'wipe' the sim card, failing that restore the iphone before sending it off for repair. But I dont want to do this, I doubt it is the sim card more of a network problem. Is there any news of tesco / o2 masts changing at all like when orange stopped letting 3 use theirs?

    I am also on the £10 monthly rolling sim! Unlimited internet & txts - 500mins.
