    Hi sweetie,

been wondering where you've been, will head over to yours in a minute for an update.

I've just won the table & chairs from ebay ... they were at £11.50 for ages & then in the last 5 seconds someone bid so it went up to £22 ... but I still won :p & that's a pretty good price for a table & 2 chairs.

Seller says I can go & collect tomorrow afternoon & then I'm going to make a start on giving it the Lula treatment - not pink though - just going to do it white & shabby it a bit.

I love round tables & as this one is quite small it will fit in my car ( she said hopefully not having bothered to measure it ) Failing that I can roll it home :rotfl:

I really struggled to get up today, was not in the mood for work at all, just wanted to play in the garden really.

Gropey was quite well behaved this morning - we're all thinking of Grumpy who's having his op this week. Bless him, he's left a stash of chocolate in my drawer - crunchies & mini eggs & I have to confess that there was a chocolate incident round about midday

Home-job driver texted to ask if I could do some work today ... I apologised & said 'no' as I had plans . She'll probably make me pay for that one way or another, but she agreed about me giving up mondays, & I worked last monday, so I wasn't going to do it this week.

Yep, I'm developing an attitude & I dont care :p.

So, came home from work & did the ironing that I hate doing at the weekend then went to collect the table & chairs. Lovely man helped me to ram the boot full & then bungee it half shut :A. Gave them a thorough wash & did have a bit of struggle to get the table into the living room, but eventually managed & it's perfect :D. They're a bit of a nasty marmalade colour at the moment but the table is a perfect size & in very good condition while the chairs are really comfy & have lots of character, so once they've been Lula'd they'll be fab :).

Logged in to do some surveys & was screened out of every one  s decided to make another payment to Uncle Richard instead. another £100 off the debt so now just another £150 to go :j.

I really cant believe I'm so close now & I have this sense that whatever cuts or reductions I am subjected to, that somehow, we'll manage :D.

Even more exciting was the fact that I had to whizz in to the co op to get some more bread - £1.35 & I got a £2 coin. I put it in the pot along with the last £1 coin in my purse. Sealed Pot now holds £113.

I have a few silver coins in my purse, my personal spending money is gone ( table ) & I'm down to an emergency fiver but I'm happy.

Off to update my siggy now

    G'night
    xx

Soooooooooooooo very close indeedy. In fact I'd be so tempted to give Uncle Richard the contents of the not very well sealed pot and the emergency fiver and anything else I could get my hands on just to be able to say Up Yours Mate! and be debt free sooner than I'd ever dreamed of being. There are times when I'm a very impatient person.

Well done on getting so close.

Can't wait to see the bench and garden photos. The table and chairs sound like bargains too.

    Hello lovelies :hello:

    all good here in Lulaville.

Work job is just ridiculous at the moment; Gropey & Goblin went off out for a 2 hours lunch with the accountant, there's a load of new equipment coming in tomorrow & everyone is moaning about something or someone else.

I texted dear old Grumpy & he's come through the op ok but is clearly drugged up to the eyeballs as when I said that I missed him & that he should stop malingering & get back to work, he replied that he wished he was there . He's not getting much joy out of the nursing staff either, reckons they're a bit scary :rotfl:.

I'm chomping my way through the chocolate stash - but will have to replace it before he returns.

Didnt have much home-job work to do which suits me as I really need to learn to live within my budget & only use home-job pay for frivolities.

Moo - I do get what you're saying, but really I'm quite fond of Uncle Richard as he did give me the 0% cc which has been a contributing factor in how much progress I've made. I almost feel guilty that he wont get any interest off me. Honest I do :rotfl:

I'll be clearing it on payday so can wait another 2 days. It's a month earlier than I was expecting & as I've always aimed to be DF by the time DD starts high school - that's fine. It's a shame I didnt get the camper van to go travelling in for the summer, but I suppose that's the next thing to aim for ... sod the cooker & sofa, a van will be much more fun :D

In other news; DD has been doing her best to wheedle some tickets for the aforementioned gig out of me. She's offered to do washing up for 2 weeks, breakfast in bed every weekend for forseeable future & tonight I even got her to agree to was the car. It's filthy.

At what point should I stop her admirable efforts & admit that I bought the tickets weeks ago & have had them since last week ? I want to give them to her on friday - but in an April Fools kind of way, been racking my brains for some clever way. Any ideas welcome.

The toaster has died & as it & the chronically ill kettle were super cheap tatco models I think I'll treat the kitchen to some new ones. Been looking around & found some I love :

... but just cannot justify paying over £140 for a set - no matter how stylish or pretty they may be :(
