Morning All,
Another good moneysaving day. Collared Tesco Mobile who have reduced my contract from £20.43 a month to £12.50 a month and it's looking like Moyra's £35.74 will also fit onto the £12.50 rolling tarriff as well so we'll be a collective £31.17 better off. Sky are next on my hitlist! Billy Street won't pay for itself...

I thought it'd be more Billyland with the amount of plots you've been checking out!!
Well played on the mobile bill battering!!!
Cheers

Thanks Twiddy,
Billyland is way down the line. We'll start with Billy Street and then take it in small steps thereafter. The Utopian Moneysaving Republic of Billy awaits us all...

Squirrel Street has a nice ring to it!:jPaid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Hi Squirrel,

Hi Billy
Just anted to drop you a line to say that I've found the last few pages of your thread really interesting/useful.
I'm currently debating a btl and am weighing up all of the pros and cons etc before taking the plunge....
I've still got a huge mortgage myself and have recently started a MFW thread but I'm considering using my overpayment fund to pay the deposit but not sure whether this is a sensible option......
Decisions decisions! I've subscribed to this thread and will read with interest to watch your progress.

Oh no Billy, when I checked my subscribed threads yours said 666 replies and my DH said that was a worrying number. He is muttering about Australian policeman (he needs to get out more) and we'll have to tell our son Damien.......no only joking........just realised you may not be old enough to get the joke! Hi Lulabelle,
Thanks for popping by. I'll keep an eye on your journey. Best of luck with it. In the last few days, I've begun to realise just how little I know about being a landlord and, strangely, how little I know about mortgages. Battering one down is one thing but I've never really thought much about all the options that are out there. The next week will be an education at the very least...

Hi Tilly,
I hadn't noticed that! Thank you for de-hexing my rambling blog. Just had a look at The Omen and, despite it being a 1976 film, I got the reference fine. I'm a big fan of the horror genre (although I wouldn't necessarily count The Omen as proper horror - not nearly enough blood and guts!) Hope you're having a grand weekend. I've got an Ikea bookcase to build today! That and looking after an ill Moyra.

Do you want me to call the local A&E department now to warn them you are attempting another Ikea challenge, or do you want me to wait till you open the box? :rotfl:
Hope Moyra gets better soon..
