Great to have you back Billy, we missed you! Congrats to you and Moyra on your promotions and we all look forward to hearing more of your shenanigans
.
PS. 3k on a TV . Tut tut Billy, tut tut.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Morning Gally,
TV was only £2,000. The surround sound, blu-ray thingy and the necessary accoutrements took it up to £3k - not that it makes it any better!
It is brilliant though!!
Cheers so,

Morning Billy,
Glad to have you back in MSEland. Congrats to you and Moyra on your promotions. Well done on the BTL and home improvement front. Here I am trying to live without an idiot box and you have sunk 3K on it
I am pretty sure all the impediments facing you in the near future in the property/cash fronts will be sorted out with the same fervour as your earlier MF goal.

Hi US,
We're TV junkies I'm afraid. Between my sport, Moyra's rubbish woman shows and our collective American drama love, the TV is very rarely off when we're in and Sky+ in the last few years has only made it easier to avoid the rubbish.
The last few months have been a learning curve as expected but we haven't had any massive issues in the grand scheme of things and the extravagances have been our choice. I did draw the line at a new £4,500 corner couch which, naturally, syncs into the surround sound and has drinks coolers and the like - because having a couch to sit on just isn't enough!
Cheers,

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. And you have had some really useful experiences along the way. I hope that despite the pitfalls, you are enjoying the journey and I am sure you will get to he big house in the end.
Keep the faith!

Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Spent the last two weeks reading BOTH of your journals from start to finish! I have finally finished, and wow what an inspiration you are and you have totally given me the kick up the backside I needed to realise some of my goals and to believe in myself. You are an inspiration and I love the way you speak about Moyra, she is a very lucky lady. Congratulations on both your promotions too.

Wow..... Just like middy mum I have just finished reading the entire thread. Work will be happy that I can now concentrate on work instead!
I don't know how you do it, fit so much in! Good luck with the btl's. Something mr sj and I were almost forced into earlier this year. Luckily we got a good offer on our squalor and are now safely in our nearly forever home.
We'd like to btl in the future, but on our terms and if we spotted a bargain.
Anyway just really wanted to say I've been inspired! Our garden is being attacked this weekend!Mini me due March 2014

Hi Middymum,
That's a lot of wittering to get through. I admire and pity you in equal measure.
You are right though - a very lucky lady!!
Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers,

Hi Cath,
I can't believe that it has been five months. Things have been (and remain) so busy it's not at all funny. Tonight we added a seventh business venture into the mix which is now on top of the day jobs, the three charities, the 4 buy to lets, the DBA, the failing exercise regime and the intention to sort something out for Moyra's birthday next week.
However, ahead of all of that, sleep beckons...
Cheers,
