Sky take money without telling people

I am a current sky customer and asked for my debit card details to be removed from their system. I requested that they send me monthly bills, and I was ok with the additional few pounds that it would cost. I have discovered that 2 weeks after this conversation where I was assured they had removed my card details, they have taken a payment from it! I had no prior knowledge as no communication has been received from sky. Surely this is fraud? Cand they get away with this? I really do not know what to do, if anyone has any advice to offer it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  • also I should let you know that no payment is even due at this time, if it was i would surely have recieved notification by email or in the form of a letter. as far as i am aware they are meant to be paid monthly, not take full payments within a fortnight of eachother

I think that if you don't pay on a debit card, credit card or direct debit, then you will have to put down at least an extra months deposit? Reememebr that your monthly sub has to be paid in advance.
    Why don't you ask Sky?
