Has anyone used http://www.windowspcsoftware.co.uk/ ?
Is it a genuine bargain or a con ?
ie) Copies of MS software ?
I mean £99 for Office 2010 AND Windows 7 ultimate ?
I guess that I have answered my own question - the Contact Us button DOESN'T !!

..and whilst its ostensibly a limited company (only incorporated in the summer and the website registrant is at the same registered office address) they want cheques made out to Mrs Dhingra? Not that I want to cast aspersions but that might make me slightly concerned. Why would a legitimate limited company not have its own bank account?

As additional information 191, High Road, Chigwell is also known as "The Firs" Guest House and there are other companies registered at the address (Bikes2U Ltd; Africa Macroeconomy Development Trust Ltd). The B & B's tel. number is 020 8500 0971
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

When purchasing online and you go to a checkout, always look for the little security lock. - I use Safari for Mac so for me it's in the top right hand corner of the browser, on IE or Firefox I am not 100% where it is... - When you click this security lock it should bring up a certificate. This usually means that the website is secure to purchase from. Although if the security lock isn't there is doesn't mean that the website you are purchasing from is completely illegitemate. There are probably other ways of checking but this is the best one I know of.

So you wouldn't advise sending them a cheque then ?
Mrs Dhingra sounds a good solid British name - not a tiny bit Nigerian - doesn't it ?

Actually - this appears to be covered by Googles secure checkout purchase thingy - with full compensation under FSA should anything go wrong - so maybe I spoke too soon, and this is a legitimate company - selling genuine bargains ?
  • win 7 ultimate full retail for £69???

I don't believe it's "genuine", at best it may be someone reselling keys they've gained through technet or some other MS incentive. (Which isn't allowed!)

What has the FSA got to do with retail outlets?

From the "BUY NOW" link on the sellers site - Terms of Service:

"Google Payment Ltd. is authorised andregulated by the Financial Services Authorityin the United Kingdom as an electronic money institution. Google Payment Ltd.'s FSA Register Number is 462517"

Because you pay through a 3rd party (Google) !!
