  • I hope this is the best place to put this as I haven't seen any mention of it and I've searched the site with no luck;

    This is a full disc of totally free and legit software called "Software for starving students", for those of you who already know it this is the January 2007 updated version.

    There's all sorts of stuff here including games and utilities but, best of all for me is Open Office, a (better) replacement for the Office suite, IMHO.
    Beware that this is a disc image download (approx 700mb) and then you burn the image to a disc. I don't see an option to 'cherry-pick' the bits you want so watch out those of you on capped downloads!

    Great post. Definitely some good titles on there and it's worthwhile Googling for those that you want before downloading a 700Mb file.

    dont know if anyone remembers the quark express issue that martin put in his weekly send out. i searched round for the mag at the time but couldnt find it. was wandering if anyone has a spare copy or a copy they dont have which they can spare to send to me. i'm happy to send a SAE to them. thank you.
