Free VIoP - That's Actually Free?

Hey,

I got into this whole VIoP think many years ago. I found a program called VIoPStunt.com which worked wonders, and it was free for 30 minutes a day, per account. (no need to top up in order to get it)

But for some reason, I tried looking for a program that would ACTUALLY allow me to make free local calls (London) but it would end the call straight away and claim that I've used up my free calls and I should top up credit which really pee'd me off. :mad:

So I thought I'd come here and ask the good folk if they know of any FREE VIoP services that actually are free without needing to top up etc.

Answer is no, all require payment of some kind.

Why not use Skype they do a simple £4.59 a month to call argentina unlimited for a month.

VoIP calls are free when you call another person who has the same VoIP service.
I'd second using Skype. I get free calls to my son who is away at uni in halls at the moment because we both have Skype.

Free calls with VoipStunt

New users can try VoipStunt out for free for a total of 60 minutes. During this trial period you can only call the destinations marked as free. Register your account by buying credit in order to extend your free calls.

Registered users get max 300 minutes per week of free calls, measured over the last 7 days and per unique IP address. Unused free minutes cannot be taken to the following week(s). If limit is exceeded the normal rates apply. During your Freedays you can call all destinations listed as "Free" for free. When you have run out of Freedays, the normal rates apply. You can get new Freedays by buying credit.

Hi thanks for this info. Would this be the same as Fring? I was thinking of getting Fring (actually Fringout) to make calls to international landlines and mobiles but if this is better (free) it would suit me well indeed!

I presume there's an app I can download....
