NSD number 3 for me yay!!

Yesterday was only a little spend - birthday pressie for the party DS was invited to yesterday afternoon. I always feel a bit tight but have set a budget of £5 for birthdays (well for all the extra parties he gets invited to) but trying to find something for that price is really quite hard. I did manage it by getting a mermaid bath thing (shell that gets dropped into bath and a mermaid appears through the bubbles and then the mermaid is kept and her tail changes colour) for £2.97 and a littlest pet sh0p toy for £1.24 and a pack of thorntons strawberry buttons and bob's your uncle one birthday pressie for a 4 year old girl happy0203.gif

Today was thankfully a NSD but tomorrow wont be as I am booked in to get my hair cut. Now I would rather it be a NSD but the hair needs some attention and I have found a training salon where I live that offers a cut and blow dry for ......................£6!!!!! I normally only get a dry cut (at the cheapest place in town) and it costs me £11.95 so I am rather pleased that I shall be getting twice the job for half the price happy0034.gif. They have some superb offers on and although they do state that it will take longer than a normal salon I dont mind as I think it will be a step by step talked through malarky. Also will be going to visit my friend and her 3 day old baby so will see if she needs anything taking up to her as it will already be a spendy day.

Picked up two more this weekend..so now I am up to 5 NSDs :j

Been having a major clear-out and tidy-up this week...our recycling bin is heaving! :o Also loads of stuff for a CB (not this year I fear!), and a few books for niece and nephew. Taking a spare bookcase to the charity shop I got a sideboard from last week, they never have enough bookcases it seems.

Right tea's ready (DH making :)) and then it's more knitting and ironing in the evening...oh I know how to live!!!

Evening all - just dropping in after our street party - was rather nervous about meeting all these new people but had a really nice time and am very pleased we made the effort to go. It's so nice that people still take the time and effort to have a neighbourhood get together 'these days' Hope I remember everyone's names though :o Home now to thaw out and have a cuppa before gearing up for another week ahead.

    Ummmm.........

Is it safe to assume that Thursday wasn't an NSD then?

Think it must be as you've been so quiet since then, which means

    This is for you

It was my one and only NSD as a matter of fact, CW, so you get to keep the kipper!
