Morning everyone-although it is Sunday now. Big love and hugs to everyone who posted about `the kitchen situation'.....I feel very chuffed as I managed to solder the pipe joints under the sink - and it worked!!! So I am having a lovely Sunday with OH- and am about to de-flea the dog! Oh so glam!Current debt and mortgage: £25, 820.35 Debt/Mortgage at start: £92,598 (27/09/2010)

Well done Sassers! Good luck with the defleaing, hideous but necessary.
I am mending the hem of ds1's school trousers which are falling down (what is it with school trousers, I'm always doing this!) and then I am going to mend ds2's school sweatshirt again, which has yet another hole in the cuff, but I am determined not to spend money on a new one. Then a marathon bath running and hair washing session will begin!
Have a good sunday, everyone (more relaxed than mine I hope). Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Am at work, so only able to spend online. (Work at hostel on my own, so only have to actually work if a resident needs me. On the downside, I have to stay here like a caged animal!!!! :wall: )
Have been good though despite temptation and have managed to figure out how to sell on ebay (completely alien concept to me up till now  ) Have just listed first item - only brought one thing with me otherwise I'd have listed loads more! Ah well, that gives me a challenge for the coming week anyway. :T
After I finish up here, I'm helping my mum deliver a van. This is in return for the company letting us borrow it for free so we could help my sister move house. Great money saving idea, but unfortunately, it's not my money I've saved!
Have housework to do this evening too, and can feel urge to go spending in a desperate attempt to put off the inevitable!!! :rotfl:
Here's hoping I can make it to the end of the day without spending

Student again now and trying to fight the debts that are creeping up again :eek:0 -
Well I had my night out for my friend's birthday which ended up costing around £55, so a wee bit  but not too bad. I had a great time.
My friend however, after we split up to go home decided it would be a great idea to buy a laptop and camera offered to him by some geezers in the street for £250 cash. Yep you guessed it - he got a bag with 2 bottles of lemonade in it..... the most expensive lemonade I've ever heard of.
Seriously though isn't that the oldest trick in the book?
I'm so gutted for him, it definitely put my £50 spend in the shade!:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Oh my goodness, your friend must be gutted Lara. £55's not too bad for a big night out and at least you got value for your money.
Sassers wow well done you! Think of all that money saved by doing it yourself.Debt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24

well i've just gone on a mini spending spree in sainsbury's for liquid refreshment of the non alcoholic variety. i don't drink enough liquids so i've decided to throw dfw caution to the wind and start keeping more/any fruit juices and fizzy (diet of course) drinks in the house to get my liquid intake up to over two litres a day.
the good news is that i came back with two 2l bottles of diet fizzy (dr pepper and sprite) two cartons of fruit juice, a bottle of diluting juice and a bow of after eight straws (new sweetie, looks fun) for a total of £3.16 :j fizzy was bogof and sweets were my bday pressie in my card from sainsburys. is all good0 -

yeah not too too bad today-
Went out to buy yet more stuff for the flat in the form of a blind after i damn well broke the other one after washing it last week
bought Few bits of food, we have LOADS in, so yeah, we might need milk & veggies towards tail end of the week, but spent about 7 quid today
OH took me to Nandos for lunch which was gorgeous
Came home got asked to our mates for dinner on Thursday- saves me spending & cooking
Cleaned down the kitchen - in part. Ohs been doing a few little jobs while Ive been ebaying, and we are about to take a few more photos now, and then leave it for the day!
Might think about cooking some dinner in a bit, all out of storecupbaord.
then a sit down and reflection on the week ( overwhelmingly good- there managed it already!) and to think about my targets for next week- I suspect there are many! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
