I tried to use my voucher at Debenhams in Bristol yesterday and they advised me that they are no longer accepting the vouchers as too many people have already used them! I am now complaining to Debenhams directly but just wanted to know if anyone else had this problem??

just been in to debenhams today in Bristol with my sister and we had no problem using all 6 of our vouchers no one mentioned a word.

used several in Sheffield city centre yesterday. No problem re accepting although they staff seemed to handle them differently . A couple of them had a chat about what to do with them & said they had been told differently about what to do.

    Great bargains!

Don't know why you're having this problem and why Debenhams in Bristol declined the voucher on these grounds??

I received an email about half an hour ago with this voucher in, so why are they declining your voucher? Sounds nonsense to me.

  • I too received this email overnight
  • Used mine on Sat 30th in Bristol in the kids toy/clothing dept on top floor, (about 12.30 ish!). Assistant accepted the voucher but didn't look happy about it and had a good read of my voucher (probably looking for min spend or exclusions). My husband also used his voucher, later on in the afternoon, on the first floor in the men's clothing dept.

I find that the service and helpfulness of the Bristol staff really varies depending on the dept. (I've had trouble in the past returning items bought online to the children's dept whereas I have had no trouble with, for example, returning things to the Home dept).

Its really unfair of them to refuse vouchers, many people will have made special journeys to use it.
