Debenhams £5 voucher not being accepted in store

The "Get a free £5 voucher to spend in store at Debenhams (no min. spend) plus 15% off online." as featured in this week's MSE email.

I tried to use my voucher at Debenhams in Bristol yesterday and they advised me that they are no longer accepting the vouchers as too many people have already used them! I am now complaining to Debenhams directly but just wanted to know if anyone else had this problem??

Debenhams in Luton took mine without any problems yesterday. I hope you are successful with your complaint.

I used some yesterday afternoon and they were accepted fine, no problems at all... not in Bristol but I think if they were going to not accept them it would be a nationwide thing.

Check the t&c's and see if it says they can withdraw the promotion at any time, if not then you should point this out to them... which I suspect may be the reason it hasn't been pulled already.

Everyone in the last queue I was in yesterday had one in their hands!

Used it last night at Trafford centre, just before closing. No problems.

Same in Chatham store this morning - OH was told giftcard was down so they just put it through as £5 off

what time did peopleuse theirs today successfully (might takea trip out later to try and use mine that didnt work earlier)
