Halifax/BOS - no more paper-free statements

Good morning.
Halifax & BOS will be changing their online banking system in the new year. The new one version will be similar to Lloyds TSB's new online banking.
As part of this, there will of course be changes to the facilities available to us ... the most notable of which for me is that you will no longer be able to receive paper-free credit card statements.
The 'reason' for this is that Lloyds TSB do not do paper-free credit card statements, but as I see it, the technology exists, so it doesn't seem to be looking after the customer to make us use Lloyds's outdated and limited facilities (there's going to be enough of that when you go into a branch, but that's a different story...!).
(N.B. Paper-free statements will still be available for Halifax bank accounts and savings accounts.)
I would urge everyone to send an email to Halifax's online department asking for this feature to be returned to us asap!
A lot of people emailed complaints when Halifax removed interest rates from savings accounts earlier in the year, and as a result of this interest rates will be back online from January 2011.
Please help us to do the same with paper-free credit card statements!

Halifax have already removed paper-free credit card statements; I opened a Clarity CC earlier this year and, when I found I couldn't make it paper-free online like my Reward Current A/cs, made an enquiry and was told that "not all accounts are eligible for our paper-free service".
They also changed the login procedure to match LloydsTSB's two or three months ago.0 -

That's just for new credit cards opened; in January they'll be turning paper-free statements off for everyone to match LTSB.0 -

That's not how I interpret the changes. From an email I received from Halifax:We'll temporarily send your monthly credit card bills by post instead of online. You'll still be able to view your transactions online, and we'll continue to give you plenty of notice before your monthly payment is due. We'll bring back online bills as quickly as we can, and will let you know as soon as this happens. It seems to me they're upgrading their online service and will temporally revert to sending paper statements during the change in case there's any teething problems.
Seems like a sensible thing to do to me.0 -

This change will take around 18 months, so it's likely to be the middle of 2012 before paper-free credit card statements are available again.
Nothing to do with 'teething problems', it's because paper-free is a facility that Lloyds TSB doesn't offer, so now Halifax customers can't have it either.0 -
It takes seconds to pop the statements through a shredder. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Is this change anything to do with how credit card payments are shown online? Today I've logged on and I can only view payments from 1 November (my payment due date is the 26th of every month). I can't understand why my payments from 27th to 31st October aren't showing?0

1. Environment and general waste.
2. I live away from my primary address quite a lot, so have to have them forwarded on to me. Much easier just to get them online.0 -
As rb10 has quite rightly pointed out, the new HBOS Online is almost identical of Lloyds TSB's current offering, I've linked to the (LTSB) demo below (just imagine "Halifax" branding, less green, more blue):-
http://www.lloydstsb.com/new_internet_banking_demo/index.html?WT.ac=HPnewdemo
I've added my feedback regarding the removal of paper-free credit card documents. Similar to rb10, paper-free is an important (simple) option which I feel my bank should provide.Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. I try to provide answers based in fact, however I don't know everything, so (like all posters on MSE), take what I say with a pinch of salt.0
