HD Ready means your TV can display a HD picture from a hd source, nothing more.
You can buy a HD tv with "freeview HD" and/or "freesat HD" tuners built in or get a separate box for either.
For Sky or Virgin HD you will need the set top box supplied.
Any separate HD STB's need to be connected using HDMI cable
Hopefully thats clearer.0 -
Beware, most "HD ready" TVs only display up to 720p resolution, not the "Full HD" which is 1080p.
It's not always made obvious that the HD ready TVs are inferior to the full HD ones, making them seem like bargains when they're not necessarily (unless you don't need 1080p, of course).0
