Call barring option for directory enquiries?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew much about the possibility of barring directory enquiries etc numbers? I have a family member who unfortunately has memory problems and tends to call the directory enquiries on a fairly regular basis causing extortionate bills! Other culprits are the talking clock and premium rate numbers such as competition lines. I read about the BT Basic profile which can restrict premium rate numbers but no mention of directory enquiries/talking clock. Does anyone know if this is an available option on any of the big telephone operators. They currently are with Virgin Media but can switch to another if this an option. Thanks.

I bought one for £2.95 (delivered) a while ago and scarcity means they're like gold dust now but the answer for you is a Commtel Phone Guard.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

There was just a similar thread to this, it appears people with memory problems can get free directory enquiries:
