How do I find payment for the item I sold!!

Hi Please help me locate payment from a buyer.I sold two items to the same buyer on7th 0ct.buyer has private rating 100%(94).when I did not receive payment I was relieved I did not have to send it recorded.Only to find out this morning that buyer is asking where's my items.
I have checked on the transaction it says this item has been paid via paypal although you have marked it as payment not received.......I haven't even touched the transaction I was hoping for it to go away.I checked payment details and it says buyer has marked as payment sent on 9th oct for this item.I went on Paypal the link was invalid so I checked from 7th -9th his name is not on the account history .
Please help me find this payment I've already emailed buyer to email me details of this transaction and if he has used another mode of payment to specify.Is their a way I can find out if item has been paid for using item no. or userI.d.I'd appreciate your help.

Hi there, if you sign into yr pay pal acc there is a section thats says contact us, in there is a telephone number for customers which you can ring to speak to someone direct who can hopefully help you further!

paypal are normally very good at sorting out problems

ask him what the paypal transaction number is for the item when he paid it

The transaction details can only say paypal payment received, if he paid by paypal or payment has been sent on 'date', if he sent you a cheque or something and clicked on the payment sent icon. Which do you see? You mention both.
The paypal account - he could be using a different name/account to pay so the names might not match - can you use the amounts paid to compare?

Hi thanks all of you for this valuable information.

the problem is exactly that,its saying two different things if I click on the main page of the item it says "you have marked not received however this item has been paid via paypal" when I go into the link on the same page "view payment details" it says "the buyer has marked this order as payment sent on 9th oct". "view paypal payment "link doesn't work either.
this has never happened before,He requested a discount for his purchase so his invoice was combined and with discount Amount is unique to other transactions,so I have tried looking into amounts it still doesn't show up on paypal account history.

If I ring Paypal what do i need item no and address? I offer express delivery it just doesn't look too good if the item's been paid for for so many days without my knowledge. that's the basis of my sale.
