orange mobile care insurance? water damage?
Options
hi all, quick question here ive just accidentally dropped my phone in some water for a brief period, no more than 4 seconds, at the moment ive taken battery sim and mem card out and its all drying on a heater (fingers crossed )
Its a HTC desire phone and still has warranty ( which i know is no real use in this scenario) but also have orange mobile care insurance.
Has anyone ever experienced this scenario and claimed via orange insurance??

Good luck, I am 99% sure water ingress is excluded from policies.0

It was covered when I spilled a glass of water over my Samsung 3 years ago on holiday - phone seemed ok the next day but wouldn't charge up. Got back to UK Sat morning, phoned Orange Care and had a new phone couriered to me Sunday morning.2025: 3xBluRay, £750

I don't know this for a fact, but I am pretty sure you'll be covered. Orange Care Insurance is really good and is also the cheapest.
A while back I dropped my phone in the loo (yes, I know, what was I thinking) when I was on Virgin Mobile and I got a replacement phone. I had to pay an excess, but they did honour it.
Please do let me know how you get on. You should be covered, and if you're not, it begs the question as to what is the point in the insurance in the first place. There are cheaper insurances out there, but I always thought Orange covered you for accidental damadge as well as theft.Moneysaving since 2004!0
