Dh offered to buy me a pressie.... any OS suggestions?

My dh rarely buys presents. However, I reminded him of this in a very nice way and he has now told me to choose myself a pressie that he can buy me for Eid next month. I know he should choose it, but I can't look a gift horse in the mouth, and am grateful to be getting anything TBH!
I just don't have a clue what to get and wondered if there is something OS that would be really useful and that I could enjoy too.
I am not into fashion at all. I love books and recipe books, but hate buying them new... prefer to pay 50p at a car boot sale!
I have a slow cooker already (car boot £2), gave away my sewing machine as I couldn't use it, don't really do much except look after the family, cook, clean and have the girls over for coffee. The one thing I did want was a wind-up solar-powered pocket radio for using on the school walk and the allotment, but my lovely sis bought that for me along with a subscription for Gardeners World.
I am really stumped as to what to ask for, and would welcome any suggestions.
I really can't wait to see what you all come up with:cool:

    As there is nothing os that you need that springs to your mind, why not treat yourself to something you would like instead, maybe a day at a spa or a something just to spoil yourself...we all need a little spoiling every now and again :)

    You're clearly a domestic goddess so I would ask for a brand new kitchen complete with extension. It's a gift for the family after all!

    I am confused. Isn't Eid the celebration just after Ramadan?

    Lol!!!! I have a breadmaker which rarely gets used as I like to make either Norn Iron breads or Algerian breads, none of which I use a BM for. I'm happy with my kitchen as dh replaced all the worktops and sink, cupboard doors and flooring last year.
    Is there some sort of OS book that I can dip into for ideas, recipes etc, so that I don't have to waste hours on the PC? Honestly, I sit down to check my emails, and before I know it I have been browsing MSe for a couple of hours!!!!!!

    Frugal, we have 2 Eids. One is after Ramadhan, but the other is about 10 weeks later, after the pilgrims finish Haaj. This is the BIG Eid, so more pressies etc. There is much less commercialism surrounding it than there is for Christmas. That's definitely a bonus for MSE. We only celebrate the 2 Eids, not Christmas, Easter, Hallowee, or birthdays etc.

    If there is nothing you really want, why not sponsor a cow / goat / chcicken / child's education etc to those less well off else where in the world, I think oxfam or similar do such things.

    trip to a London play
    New gadget of some sort for the allotie

    Ahh! Thanks for explaining. Now I will be able to wish my muslim friends a happy Eid again :) Errr when is it? :o
