The till takes the 25% off the full price of the 8 bottles first (not the discounted 4 for £5) and then the 4 for £5 discount is taken off.

So 8 bottles at £2.29 is £18.32
25% off £18.32= £4.58
4 for £5 savings= £8.32
Total savings £12.90
£18.32-£12.90=£5.42 which is 68p per bottle.

i bought 40 mixed small bottles yesterday for £29.

got another 32 today also if you buy the wine red rose or white @7.99 2 for a tenner offer you get you get the disciount ion them also ie £3.00 per bottle instead of £5

would this be better if u got 12 bottles so 2 lots of 25% discount or is the 25% off all of them but a minimum of six if that makes sense? ( so when buying 8 do you get the 25% off the extra two too )!

I bought 8 mini bottles for £6.66 in Tesco today.

Went to Tesco New Oscott tonight and they were replacing the two for £10 bottles ready for the next promotion (which I think was 2 crates of beer for £15 - but don't quote me!). Still managed to find a few on the surrounding shelves and went through quite a trauma watching the running total on the till. A big sigh of relief at the end when it deducted £46 in savings!
